5.2
Upgrading using Script
You will need the following items:
1. TFTP server.
2. Firmware files (
QNA10ASA010206
and
QNA10ASK036007
) and
firmware upgrading script (
q8271_upscript
and
q8271_testfile
). These files are available on the Tait Technical
Resources website (http://support.taitradio.com/home).
3. IP addresses of the network gateway and TFTP server.
The name of the script file for the network gateway is
q8271_upscript
.
This file is a UNIX text file. Open the script file and check that it has the
correct filenames. Find the following lines and check that they are correct:
file_version=”QNA10ASA010206”
kernel_version=”QNA10ASK036007”
Copy the four files (
QNA10ASA010206
,
QNA10ASK036007
,
q8271_upscript
and
q8271_testfile
) to the TFTP server and proceed
as follows.
1. Connect to the network gateway using SSH.
2. Get the upgrade script from the TFTP server:
tftp –g –r q8271_upscript <tftp_server_ip>
3. Change the permission of the script:
chmod +x q8271_upscript
4. Execute the script file:
./q8271_upscript <tftp_server_ip>
5. Follow the prompts.
