NOTICE REGARDING AUTO-OPEN / AUTO-CLOSE FEATURES
Both of these features rely on the internet connection status of your smartphone as
well as GPS signals. While we have done our best to design our software to
compensate for temporary loss of connectivity and location data, we cannot
guarantee these features will work every time. Simply put, if your smartphone does
not know where it is or does not have an internet connection, the Tailwind auto-open
/ auto-close features cannot function.
The auto-close feature may take longer than expected to close your door, and is
meant to be an “in case you forget to close the door, Tailwind will close it for you”
feature. You are encouraged to close the door using the app or by other means. If you
forget, Tailwind will make every effort to automatically close the door for you as you
drive away.
With all smartphones, there is a temporary loss of internet connectivity when tran-
sitioning from Wi-Fi to cellular. This can often be right when you expect Tailwind to
close your garage door. Tailwind will attempt to send the command to auto-close
your door when your smartphone re-establishes its internet connection using the cel-
lular network. This delay is not present for the auto-open feature as your smartphone
is already on the cellular network as you arrive home.
Your TVS is water resistance and can withstand getting wet, allowing it to be used on
motorcycles, ATV’s, etc.
