Locking the joystick module
The electric wheelchair can be locked to
prevent unauthorised use. While this is not
configured by default, your distributor can
add this feature on request.
The lock is engaged when:
<LED> joystick module
- The speed indica-
tor
(19) displays a sequential series of lights.
<LCD> joystick module
- The LCD display
shows a padlock symbol [1].
Using the keypad to activate the lock
1. While the joystick module is turned on,
depress and hold the on/off button (9)
until you hear a short, audible <
beep
>,
then release it.
2. Push the joystick all the way forward
(normal forward driving) and wait until
you hear a short <
beep
>.
3. Push the joystick all the way back (re-
verse) and wait until you hear a short
<
beep
>.
4. Release the joystick.

When a prolonged <
beeeeep
> tone
sounds, it signals that the lock has been
activated.
The electronics disable Drive mode, and the
joystick module automatically turns off after
a few seconds.
