1. Requirements
Repeater mode: A wireless broadband router (e.g. T-Sinus 154 DSL/Komfort) must be installed and
ready for operation.
Access Point mode: First install the wireless network adapter on your computer. The installation
procedure can be found in the product's user guide.
Ethernet Adapter mode: An Ethernet card has been installed and configured.
2. Next install the T-Sinus 154 XR.
– Connect the T-Sinus 154 XR.
– Configure the network settings on the computers.
– Configure the T-Sinus 154 XR. Select the correct mode and set other configuration parameters if
necessary.
These steps are described on the following pages. You will need around 10-15 minutes to complete
them.
3. If you are using a wireless connection, set up the connection from the wireless network adapter to the
T-Sinus 154 XR. This is described in the operating instructions for the network adapter.
Connection to an Ethernet LAN, computer or modem

Set up the T-Sinus 154 XR at the required location.

Plug one end of the patch cord into the socket marked
RJ-45 on the T-Sinus 154 XR.

Plug the other end of the patch cord into the device to
which you wish to connect the T-Sinus 154 XR.
Depending on the particular application, this could be a
router , a computer , a games console or a modem .
For its initial configuration we suggest that you connect
your T-Sinus 154 XR directly to a computer with the patch
cord first, whatever its subsequent use.

The network adapters of the T-Sinus 154 product line are
set to recognise the T-Sinus 154 XR automatically, so there
is no need for you to set an SSID. When using other network
adapters you should refer to their operating instructions.

If the correct SSID has been entered in your PC's wireless
network adapter, the wireless link will be established
automatically once you connect your T-Sinus 154 XR to the
mains power supply.
Wireless connection of a computer
A wireless connection is made using a wireless network adapter that must be installed on your computer.
This can be a T-Sinus 154data, T-Sinus 154card, T-Sinus 154pcicard or other 802.11g or 802.11b
compatible wireless network adapter. A wireless network is defined by assigning an identical SSID to all the
devices.
