preference. The on/ready pilot light will light up, indicating that the appliance has started to
preheat.
•
It will take approximately 3 to 5 minutes to reach the cooking temperature, and the ready
light goes off at this point.
•
Open the BBQ grill and place the sandwich, meat or other food on the bottom cooking plate.
•
Close the BBQ grill and the ready pilot light will turn on again.
•
Cook for 3 to 8 minutes until the ready pilot light turns off again, or adjust the time according
to your taste.
•
When using the appliance, the pilot light will automatically switch on and off, thus indicating
the operation of the heating elements to maintain the desired temperature.
•
When the food has been cooked to your liking, remove it from the appliance with the help of
a wooden spatula or other similar heat-resistant utensils. Do not use utensils that could
damage the non-stick coating.
•
Never use metal tongs or a knife, as they can cause damage to the non-stick coating of the
cooking plates.
•
Once cooking is complete, disconnect the plug from the outlet and leave the unit open to
cool down before cleaning or storing it.
•
To minimise the generation of acrylamide during the cooking process, do not allow the food
to acquire dark brown colours.
Using the appliance as a griddle pan (Fig. 1)
•
The top plate/cover is flush with the bottom plate/base. The top and bottom plates align to
create a large cooking surface. With the appliance in this position,
locate the hinge release
lever on the right side (Fig. 2).
•
With one hand on the handle, use the other hand to slide the lever toward you. Push the
lever back until the lid is completely flat. The appliance will remain in this position until the
handle and lid are lifted to return to the initial closed position.
•
Use the appliance as an open griddle pan for cooking meats, hamburgers, poultry (cooking
with chicken bones is not recommended, as it does not cook evenly on an open griddle pan),
fish and vegetables.
•
You have the option of cooking different types of food separately without mixing flavours, or
cooking large amounts of the same type of food at once.
Once you have finished using the appliance:
•
Select the minimum position (MIN) by operating the thermostat knob.
•
Disconnect the plug from the outlet and leave the unit open to cool down before cleaning or
storing it.
•
Clean the appliance.
Cleaning and care
•
Always unplug the BBQ grill and allow it to cool down before cleaning it. The unit is easier to
clean when it is a little hot. There is no need to disassemble the BBQ grill for cleaning. Never
immerse the unit in water or place it in the dishwasher.
•
Clean the cooking plates with a soft cleaning cloth to remove food residue. For tougher food
waste, squeeze a little lukewarm water mixed with a little detergent on the food residue and
then wipe it with a non-abrasive plastic scouring pad or place a damp paper towel over the
grill to moisten the food residue.
•
Do not use abrasive products that may scratch or damage the non-stick coating.
•
Do not use metal utensils to remove food, as they may damage the non-stick surface.
