• If the button is not pressed for at least 10 seconds, the

module will go to idle mode.

4.4 Binding mode

In the Binding mode, the module contacts the gateway and
requests connection.
Binding is only possible within 2 minutes after power-up.

Note:

Binding mode must first be activated on the gateway. See

RS485 Gateway User Manual

for more information.

In the Binding mode the red and green LED’s are alternately
lit for 2 seconds.

• When the binding procedure is done or a timeout has

occurred, the result of the binding is indicated for 2 seconds

• Next, the Active/User/Fault mode is entered.

Green LED lit — bind successful
Red LED lit — bind failed
