Removing and Installing Power Supplies on the SV1800 Appliance
The power supply units are hot-swappable on appliances with redundant power supply configuration. Keep in mind, if the appliance is
running on a single power supply, removing that power supply will cause the system to fail. Shutting off the appliance with this method may
lead to disk corruption. The power supplies are held in place with retention latches.
The following instructions show how to remove and install a power supply unit into the chassis:
1. Remove the cord for the supply that is to be changed.
2. Push the retention latch to the right (as viewed from the back.)
3. Pull out the power supply.
4. Install the replacement power supply by pushing it in until the retention latch clicks. If the power supply gets stuck, hold the
retention latch to the right while inserting the supply. Make sure the power supply is fully seated and that the retention latch is
in its left-most position.
5. Reattach the power cord.
