Connecting The Monitor

Connecting The Monitor

There are many types of Sylvania monitors available for use with the SY164 DVR. The following installation
instructions describe the set-up for:

• Connecting the SY164 to a monitor (slave)

• Connecting the SY164 to a Sylvania Observation System

The SY164 includes 4 RCA cables and 8 BNC to RCA adapters. This cable/adapter combination will allow
this DVR to connect to most slave monitors without having to purchase additional cables or adapters.

Connecting the SY164 to a monitor (slave)

In this configuration, the cameras connect to the DVR and the monitor is used as the display device for the
DVR.

• Connect the cameras to the video inputs of the DVR

• Connect the DVR video output to the video input of the monitor.

NOTE

:

On Sylvania quad monitors the BNC video input channel connectors also support video output. The BNC
video input/output on a Sylvania quad monitor can be connected to BNC video input of the DVR.
