Installation
• First disconnect the operating voltage supply to the surveillance camera, to which
the lens is to be mounted.
• Remove any lens that may be already mounted on the camera. Normally, you have to
loosen a grub screw
fi
rst, then the lens can be unscrewed (turn counter-clockwise).
Do not touch the camera's image sensor, as this will damage it!
• Screw the new lens on to your camera. However, do not use force.
• If you have unscrewed and removed a grub screw from the camera, replace it now
and fasten it.
The grub screw is used as anti-twist protection while adjusting the lens rings.
• Connect the 4-pole auto iris plug to the corresponding connector of your surveillance
camera.
• Check the settings of the surveillance camera. The DC iris mode must be activated
(e.g. named as "DC" or "DC DRIVE" or the like)
• Connect the camera to the operating voltage; afterwards, adjust the lens, see next
section.
Adjusting Zoom, Focusing the Image

2
• First unfasten the two fastening screws (1 and 2). Rotate
them slightly counter-clockwise so that both lens rings can
be rotated.
• Turn the front lens ring (2) to the left or right to adjust the
desired focal length.
Then focus the image with the rear lens ring (1).
• Afterwards, fasten the two lens rings again using the two
fastening screws (1 and 2).
Cleaning
Occasionally clean the lens to remove any dust and dirt. To that effect, use a clean,
soft, dry cloth. Do not rub too hard, to avoid scratch marks on the glass, this will cause
deterioration in the image quality!
Disposal
Dispose of the unserviceable product according to the relevant statutory
regulations!
