Phone Book
The phone book can store a maximum of 60 phone numbers together with
the associated names. A phone number may have a maximum of 24 di-
gits. A name may have a maximum of 16 characters.
Saving phone book entries
Always enter the area access code with the phone numbers so
that the telephone can also assign incoming local calls to a phone
book entry.
Entering text
Letters are also imprinted on the digit keys. Letters and digits are entered
by pressing the relevant key the respective number of times.
Example:
To enter the name Peter". Press 1 x button

Further information on entering text:
To enter the same letter twice, press the relevant button the respective
number of times until the letter appears then wait till the cursor automati-
cally skips one position forward. You can then enter the same letter again.

Editing phone book entries
To select an entry directly, press the buttons to enter the first let-
ters of the name of the entry you require. For example, to select
Peter" directly, press the
/
button once.

If the CLIP function is enabled for your telephone system (CLIP =

resentation), the phone number of the caller appears
in the display when a call is received. If the caller’s number is stored in the
phone book, the name stored with the phone number appears.
If the caller has suppressed transmission of his phone number, the
number is not displayed. The message WITHHELD NUMBER
appears in the display.
If the message UNAVAILABLE appears, no information is available
on the caller; this could also indicate an international call.
The caller number display (CLIP) and the display of date and time
are supplementary services offered by your telephone network
provider. Contact your provider for further details.
