Handset settings
Handset name
You can assign a name of 8 characters for the handset. After the name is entered, the
name is displayed on standby mode.
Æ
Press MENU, select Handset Settings and press OK
Æ Select Handset Name and press OK
Æ Enter the name and press OK to store
Language
Æ Press MENU, select Handset Settings and press OK
Æ Select Language and press OK
Æ
Select the desired language and press OK to confirm
Area-Code
This setting is needed for reading from the SIM-Card and adapting to the Swiss network. If
you have a country code on the SIM-Card it will be replaced by a 0 (zero). If you have a
foreign number with “+” this will be replaced by 00 (two zero’s). The phone’s default setting
is prepared for the Swiss network.
Æ Press MENU, select Handset Settings and press OK
Æ Select Area-Code and press OK
Æ Select the Country-Code, Int. Prefix or Nat. Prefix and press OK
Æ Enter the Number needed and press OK to store
Changing the handset PIN
To protect the handset settings from unauthorized access you should change the handset
PIN (factory setting: 0000) to a PIN that only you know.
Æ Press MENU, select Handset Settings and press OK
Æ Select Handset PIN and press OK.
Æ Enter the current handset PIN (factory setting: 0000).
Æ Enter the new handset PIN (4 digits).
Æ Re-enter the new handset PIN to verify. If it matches the new handset PIN is saved.
