Then click on the

Your Access Point will now only send encoded signals to wireless stations. NB: After configuring WEP in the Access Point, do not forget to enter
the same key in the wireless client or you will not be able to connect.
Setting up MAC Filtering
In addition to the WEP encryption security for your wireless connection, it is advisable to include the use of MAC Filtering.
When correctly set up, MAC Filtering ensures that only network cards with the MAC address specified by you will be given access to your Access Point.
To find the MAC address of your wireless card, follow this simple method:
Windows 98/SE
Go to Start -> Run and enter the command winipcfg followed by enter. The “IP Configuration” screen will appear. Select the wireless adapter and
click the 'More Settings' button. The adapter address is the MAC address of this particular (wireless) network card.

for finding the MAC address
Windows 2000/XP
Go to Start -> Run and enter the command cmd followed by enter. A black MS-DOS window will appear. Enter the command ipconfig /all followed
by enter. The physical address of your wireless card is the MAC address we are searching for.
Once we have found the MAC address (for example 00-50-DA-66-AC-A7), it must be added to the Access Point as a secure connection.
Select “MAC-Filtering” from the
main menu of the Access Point
The following screen will appear. Select the “Enable Wireless Access Control” box and enter the MAC address together with a description of the PC.
Then click “Add” and the Mac address will be added to the list of allowed connections:
Tick the “Select” box to activate the Mac address of the relevant PC.
