Note:
Use the spotting scope focusing adjustment ring for continual focus. In so doing, you will
protect your eyes from fatigue.
2.11 BTX AIMING AID
The mounted aiming aid is designed to help you align the spot-
ting scope with the subject to be observed.
Simply locate the desired object with the sun-shaped orien-
tations of the aiming aid at a viewing distance of about
15 cm/6 inches. You can then easily view the target object
with the BTX.
If you do not need the aiming aid, simply unscrew it and insert
the cover provided.
3. MAINTENANCE AND CARE
2.12 USING THE SUNSHIELD
The integrated, extendable sunshield keeps away disturbing
lateral light and protects the objective lens from rain. The suns-
hield is best slid out and in with a slight rotary motion. It snaps
in when extended as well as when retracted. The protective
cap for the objective lens can also be used when the sunshield
is extended.
2.13 AFTER USING THE SPOTTING SCOPE
• Please put the protective objective lens and eyepiece covers back on.
• Additional protection with the SOC stay-on case
• Transport in two sections
3.1 LENS-CLEANING CLOTH
You can clean high sensitive lens surfaces with the enclosed special microfiber cloth. It
