HOW TO USE
Before first use
Remove all packaging
It is important to ensure the correct plug adaptor is used when operating
in a country not using the UK 13 Amp socket system. If in doubt, consult a
qualified electrician.
Fill the kettle with water via the spout to make use of the built-in water filter.
You can also fill the kettle by lifting the locking lid. Ensure the lid is firmly closed
after filling.
Check that the water level is between the MIN and MAX lines on the water
gauge.
PLEASE DO NOT OVERFILL THE KETTLE PAST THE MAX LEVEL. DOING SO
POSES A SCALDING RISK.
First Use
Connect the plug into a power outlet. Press down the power switch , and
then select the 100C temperature button, the indicator will light up. The
kettle will then heat the water to the selected temperature. When boiling is
complete, discard the water. This cleans away any dust accumulated during
manufacture/storage. Your kettle is now ready for use.
Certain types of beverage (eg tea) require a lower water temperature than
100C, so you can select one of 4 preset water temperatures: 70, 80, 90 &
100C. The display will show the current water temperature. Once the desired
temperature is reached, the kettle will keep the water at that temperature for
20 minutes before automatically switching off.
