HOW TO USE
BEFORE USE
Remove all packaging and any promotional materials
Familiarise yourself with the switches and sockets to the rear of the unit.
There are two power inlet sockets; one for the 12 Volt adaptor and one for
the mains lead. There are two switches:
• The top switch is ON (I) or OFF (0) whether unit is being powered by mains
or 12VDC
• The next switch down has 2 positions: LEFT for heating mode – this
illuminates the RED light.
• RIGHT for cooling mode – this illuminates the GREEN light.
The third switch is the voltage selector.
• LEFT for using the 12V adaptor.
• RIGHT for using the mains lead. MIDDLE switches the unit off.
Please ensure that the switches are in the appropriate position before
connecting to either the car adaptor or the mains supply.
PERFORMANCE
The Mini-cooler employs a Peltier cooling system, which does not use
compressors or any environmentally hazardous refrigerant chemicals like
CFCs or HFCs
In cooling mode, the Mini-cooler will typically reduce the temperature to 16
degrees centigrade below the ambient temperature. How quickly, it achieves
this temperature drop depends upon the amount of food/drink being chilled
and the ambient temperature in the room.
In heating mode, the Mini-cooler will typically raise the temperature to around
65 degrees centigrade.
Do not position the Mini-cooler in direct sunlight and do not operate for
extended periods in confined, poorly ventilated areas – e.g. car boot on a hot
day.
