MOUNTING THE DOORBELL UNIT
The Doorbell unit is mounted by sticking it to a wall using the included adhesive strip.
• Peel off one side of the adhesive strip and attach it to the rear of the backing plate,
ensuring none of it is visible from the front.
• Find the area you want to mount the Doorbell unit. Flat, smooth surfaces are ideal.
Make sure they are clean and dry before mounting.
• Avoid mounting the Doorbell unit on metal surfaces, including UPVC doorframes, as
this may reduce the transmission range.
• Peel off the other side of the adhesive strip and press the Doorbell unit against the
mounting surface for 60 seconds.
MOUNTING THE SPEAKER UNIT
There is no requirement to mount the Speaker unit. You may find it more convenient to
place it on a shelf or table. The operating distance between the Speaker and Doorbell is
up to 50m/165ft but the range may vary depending on local conditions.
If you would like to mount the Speaker, simply attach the two screws to a wall. Place
them level to each other, about 24mm / 15/16” apart. Depending on the surface, you
may need to drill guide holes and/or use masonry plugs or dry wall anchors.
Do not insert the screws all the way. Leave about 7mm / ¼” protruding from the wall.
Then place the unit onto the screws, ensuring the heads of the screws pass through
the two mounting holes on the rear of the unit. You can then shift the unit downwards
to ensure it sits on the screws firmly.
Operating Guide
WARNING: When fitting the screws into the wall, make sure you are not inserting them
anywhere near electrical wires, including wires that may be behind the wall. If you are
unsure at all, please get a professional to check first and install the screws for you.
