Adjust the variable browning control to setting 1 without using any bread. Push
down the loading lever to operate toaster to disperse of the initial smell from
the heating elements. Repeat this step once again. Your toaster is now ready
to use.
Choose a setting based on the type of bread you are toasting and your
personal preference. Start On a medium setting (3-4) and adjust the variable
browning control to a lighter setting (1-2) or darker Setting (5-6)
Note:
The condition of the bread will determine how quickly it toasts. Dry or
stale bread toasts faster than fresh bread.
Place bread into bread slots and press the lever down until it locks into
position.
Note:
The lever will not lock into position if the toaster is not plugged into a
power outlet or if the power outlet is not switched on.
When toasting is complete, the toast will pop-up and the toaster will switch off
automatically.
Note:
When you toast the bread, you also may heat up the bun. But the bun
must be placed on the bun warmer.
CLEANING
1. Before cleaning ensure power is switched off at mains and plug has been
removed.
2. Wait until your toaster has cooled down completely before cleaning.
3. Clean the outer surface with a soft damp cloth only.
4. It is important that crumbs are not allowed to build up inside the base or
the toaster.
5. Crumbs can be removed by simply sliding out the crumb tray at the bottom
of the toaster. You can then tip the crumbs out.
USEFUL INFORMATION
Toasting the bread is a process of drying and cooking. Cooking time will
vary depending on the moisture levels and thickness of the bread.
Drier bread will probably need a lower setting than normal.
Fresh or whole wheat bread will need a higher setting than normal and
uncut or uneven bread. Thicker cut bread, muffins or crumpets will take longer
to toast since they may have more moisture to be evaporated before browning
and may need to be toasted twice. Again lower the browning control and keep
a careful eye on the toaster to ensure that the toast does not burn.
Remove any loose fruit or bread particles before toasting to prevent pieces
falling into the toaster or sticking to the heating elements or the guard wire.
When toasting a single slice set the browning control to a lighter setting
than normal as the toaster is designed to heat the two toasting slots.
CAUTION
Never force foods into toasting slot. Foods should fit freely between the
