8. CONNECTION AND INSTALLATION
Connecting a gamepad to PS4 console
•
In order to connect the gamepad to the console, in Bluetooth mode, it must be connected
to the console with a USB-microUSB cable, with the ability to transfer data.
Attention: connection via cable occurs once, with subsequent connection, no cable is
required. The console will remember the device ID and will automatically establish a
Bluetooth connection.
•
Hold the PS button, in the case of a successful connection, the indicator will light up one
color. One P4 console can only support 7 devices at a time, regardless of whether it is wired
or wirelessly connected.
Connecting a gamepad to PC
Attention! The gamepad works with a PC only via a USB-microUSB cable. Wireless mode
only works with the P4 console.

Connect the gamepad via USB cable to an available USB port of your PC.
•
Windows OS will automatically detect the pointing device and install the driver.
•
In order to test and configure the gamepad, choose «Devices and Printers» in the
Windows control panel, gamepad is displayed as «Wireless controller», then right-click
on the device icon and select «Gaming device parameters» (administrator rights may be
required) (Fig. 2). The «Game devices» window will appear. (Fig. 3).

By pressing «Properties» button, you can check the execution of commands by pressing
the buttons and rotating the LS and RS (Fig. 4). «Restore» button, resets the default settings
of the device (Fig. 5). «Restore» button, resets the default settings of the device (Fig. 5).
LED indication
•
When the controller is connected to the charging station, the LED indicator will light for
about 8 seconds and then go out.
•
When several gamepads are connected to one set-top box at the same time, the
gamepads will each glow with its own color. User 1 is blue light, user 2 is red, user 3 is
green, user 4 is pink.
•
In standby mode, the indicator glows orange.
