Remark
:
For the various installations welding nipples are available and need
to be ordered separately.
8.1 Installation Options
There are 2 installation options:
•
Installation inside compressors
This installation requires a calibration of the S431 together with
the compressor in the compressor maker's test stand.
•
Installation outside compressors
This installation requires a straight pipe of a certain length. For the
straight pipe requirements, see the section 8.2.
8.2 Inlet and utlet sections
Unhindered flow characteristics are achieved if the section in front of the
sensor (inlet) and behind the sensor (outlet) are sufficiently long,
absolutely straight, and free of obstructions such as edges, seams,
curves, and so on.
Make sure that enough space exists at your site for an adequate
installation as described in this manual.
