Demand Scrub
Demand Scrubbing is a process that allows the CPU to correct correctable
memory errors found on a memory module. When the CPU or I/O issues a
demand-read command, and the read data from memory turns out to be a
correctable error, the error is corrected and sent to the requestor (the original
source). Memory is updated as well. Select Enabled to use Demand Scrubbing
for ECC memory correction. The options are Enabled and
Disabled
.
Data Scrambling
Select Enabled to enable data scrambling to ensure data security and integrity.
The options are Disabled and
Enabled
.
Device Tagging
Select Enabled to support device tagging. The options are
Disabled
and En-
abled.
Thermal Throttling
Throttling improves reliability and reduces power consumption in the proces-
sor via automatic voltage control during processor idle states. The options are
Disabled and
CLTT
(Closed Loop Thermal Throttling).
South Bridge Configuration
This feature allows the user to configure the settings for the Intel PCH chip.
PCH Information
This feature displays the following PCH information.
Name
: This item displays the name of the PCH chip.
Stepping
: This item displays the PCH stepping.
USB Devices
: This item displays the USB devices detected by the BIOS.
All USB Devices
This feature enables all USB ports/devices. The options are Disabled and
Enabled
.
(If set to Enabled, EHCI Controller 1 and Controller 2 will appear.)
EHCI Controller 1/EHCI Controller 2 (Available when All USB Devices is set
to Enabled)
Select Enabled to enable EHCI (Enhanced Host Controller Interface) Controller 1
or Controller 2. The options are Disabled and
Enabled
