CPU Power Management Configuration
This submenu allows the user to configure the following CPU Power Manage -
ment settings.
Power Technology
Select Energy Efficiency to support power-saving mode. Select Custom to cus -
tomize system power settings. Select Disabled to disable power-saving settings.
The options are Disabled,
Energy Efficiency , and Custom.
EIST
EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology) allows the system to auto-
matically adjust processor voltage and core frequency in an effort to reduce
power consumption and heat dissipation.

for detailed information. The options are Disabled and Enabled .
Turbo Mode
This feature allows processor cores to run faster than marked frequency in
specific conditions. The options are Disabled and Enabled.
P-STATE Coordination
This feature selects the type of coordination for the P-State of the processor.
P-State is a processor operational state that reduces the processor's voltage
and frequency. This makes the processor more energy efficient, resulting in
further gains. The options are HW_ALL , SW_ALL and SW_ANY.
CPU C3 Report, CPU C6 Report, CPU C7 Report
This BIOS feature enables or disables C3, C6, and C7 reporting to the op-
erating system.
The options are Disabled and Enabled. The default for C3 is
Disabled. The default for C6 and C7 is Enabled .
Package C State Limit
If set to Auto, the AMI BIOS will automatically set the limit on the C-State
package register. The options are C0, C2, C6, and
No Limit .
Energy Performance
This setting allows the user to adjust the fan speed based on performance (maxi-
mum cooling) or energy efficiency (maximum energy savings). The options are
Performance,
Balanced Performance
, Balanced Energy, and Energy Efficient.
