2-5 Checking the Serverboard Setup
After you install the server in the rack, you will need to open the unit to make sure
the serverboard is properly installed and all the connections have been made.
Removing the Chassis Cover (Figure 2-7)
Grasp the two handles on either side and pull the unit straight out until it 1.
locks (you will hear a "click").
Remove the screws securing the top cover to the chssis. 2.
Slide the cover toward the rear of the chassis. 3.
Lift the cover off the chassis. 4.
Checking the Components
You may have a processor already installed into the serverboard. The proces- 1.
sor needs its own heatsink. See Chapter 5 for instructions on processor and
heatsink installation.
