IDE Channel 0 Master/Slave, SATA Port 0/SATA Port 1, SATA Port
2 and SATA Port 3
These settings allow the user to set the parameters of IDE Channel 0 Master/Slave,
SATA Port 0/SATA Port1 /SATA Port 2 and SATA Port 3. Hit <Enter> to activate
the following sub-menu screen for detailed options of these items. Set the correct
confi gurations accordingly. The items included in the sub-menu are:
Type
This option allows you to select the type of IDE hard drive. The option: Auto
allows BIOS to automatically determine the hard drive's capacity, number of
heads, etc.). The option: User allows the user to enter the parameters of the HDD
installed at this connection. Choose the option 1-39 to select a predetermined
HDD type. Select CDROM if a CDROM drive is installed. Select ATAPI if a
removable disk drive is installed.
CHS Format
The following items will be displayed by the BIOS:
TYPE: This item displays the type of IDE or SATA Device.
Cylinders: This item indicates the status of Cylinders.
Headers: This item indicates the number of headers.
Sectors: This item displays the number of sectors.
Maximum Capacity: This item displays the maximum storage capacity of the
system.
