Chapter 4: AMI BIOS

ACPI Conﬁ guration

This item allows the user to enable or disable ACPI support for the operating

system.

General ACPI Conﬁ guration

Use this feature to conﬁ gure additional ACPI options. Select "Yes" if the operating

system supports ACPI. Select No if the operating system does not support ACPI.

The options are No and

Yes

Suspend Mode

This feature allows the user to select the ACPI state when the system is on the

Suspend Mode. Select S1 if you want the system to standby. Select S3 to en-

able the function of Suspend to RAM, which will shorten the bootup time after

poweroff. The options are

S1(POS)

and S1&S3 (STR).

Advanced ACPI Conﬁ guration

Use this feature to conﬁ gure additional ACPI options. Select Yes if the operating

system supports ACPI. Select No if the operating system does not support ACPI.

The options are No and

Yes

ACPI 2.0 Features

Select Yes to allow RSDP pointers to point to the 64-bit Fixed System Description

Tables. Select No to deactivate this function. The options are Yes and

ACPI APIC Support

Select Enabled to allow the ACPI APIC Table Pointer to be included in the RSDP

pointer list. The options are

Enable

and Disabled.

AMI OEMB Table

Select Enabled to allow the OEMB Table Pointer to be included in the R(x)SDT

pointer lists. The options are

Enabled

and Disabled.

Headless Mode

Select Enabled to activate the Headless Operation Mode through ACPI, which

will allow the system to boot up and function properly without keyboard and

monitor display. The options are Enabled and

Disabled
