Question: Why can't I turn off the power using the momentary power on/off switch?
Answer:
The instant power off function is controlled by the Power Button mode in the
Advanced setting in the BIOS. When the On/Off feature is enabled, the motherboard can be
instantly powered off as long as the BIOS is in control of the system. When the Standby or
Suspend feature is enabled or when the BIOS is not in control such as during memory count
(the first screen that appears when the system is turned on), the momentary on/off switch
must be held for more than four seconds to shut down the system. This feature is required
to implement the ACPI features on the motherboard.
Question: How do I handle the used battery?
Answer: Please handle used batteries carefully. Do not damage the battery in any way; a
damaged battery may release hazardous materials into the environment. Do not discard a
used battery in the garbage or a public landfill. Please comply with the regulations set up by
your local hazardous waste management agency to dispose of your used battery properly.
Refer to Section 3.4 in this chapter for details.
