Motherboard Connections

This section describes the connections on the motherboard and provides pinout definitions. 
Note that depending on how the system is configured, not all connections are required. The 

LEDs on the motherboard are also described here. A motherboard layout indicating component 
locations may be found in 

Chapter 1

. More detail can be found in the 

Motherboard Manual.

Please review the Safety Precautions in 

Appendix A

 before installing or removing components.

4.1 Power Connections

ATX Power Supply Connector

The 24-pin power supply connector (JPWR1) meets the ATX SSI EPS 24-pin specification. 

The 8-pin (JPV1) connector is used to provide alternative power for a special enclosure when 
the 24-pin ATX power is not in use.
