3.2 Accessing the System
A removable top cover allows access to the inside of the chassis.
Removing the Top Cover
1. Remove the screws on each side of the cover, which secure the cover to the chassis.
2.
Lift the locking latch, then slide the cover toward the rear and lift off.
Check that all ventilation openings on the top cover and the top of the chassis are clear and
unobstructed.
Caution
: Except for short periods of time, do not operate the server without the cover in place.
The chassis cover must be in place to allow for proper airflow and to prevent overheating.
