4.2 Headers and Connectors

Fan Headers

The X11SDW- 4C -TP13F, X11SDW- 8C -TP13F, X11SDW-14CNT-TP13F, and 
X11SDW-16C-TP13F motherboards have six 4-pin fan headers (FAN1 - FAN4, FANA, FANB). 
These headers are backwards-compatible with the traditional 3-pin fans. However, fan speed 
control is available for 4-pin fans only by Thermal Management via the IPMI 2.0 interface. 

Refer to the table below for pin definitions.

Chassis Intrusion

A Chassis Intrusion header is located at JL1 on the motherboard. Attach the appropriate cable 
from the chassis to inform you of a chassis intrusion when the chassis is opened. Refer to 

the table below for pin definitions.
