Outer Rack Rails
Outer rails attach to the server rack and hold the chassis in place. The SC213 comes equipped
with quick-release outer rails which allow the chassis to be easily extended or removed from
the rack.
Identifying the Outer Rails (Figure 2-4)
1. Identify the two outer rack rails.
2. Pull out the end of the outer rail until it is fully extended as illustrated above.
3. Note the location of the release tab which will allow the outer rail extension to be
separated from the outer rail. Do not release it at this time. If released, simply depress
the release tab and slide the outer rail extension back into the outer rail.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the second outer rail.
