4.2 Headers and Connectors
Fan Headers
The six fan headers on the motherboard are 4-pin headers; pins 1-3 are backward compatible
with traditional 3-pin fans. The onboard fan speeds are controlled by Thermal Management
via BIOS. When using the Thermal Management setting, use all 3-pin fans or all 4-pin fans.

JPWR1 is an 8-pin ATX power input to provide auxiliary power to the processor. Refer to the
table below for pin definitions.

TPM Header/Port 80 Connector (TPM Port)
The JTPM1 header is used to connect a Trusted Platform Module (TPM), which is available from
a third-party vendor. A TPM is a security device that supports encryption and authentication
in hard drives. It enables the motherboard to deny access if the TPM associated with the
hard drive is not installed in the system. Please go to the following link for more information
