Sliding the Chassis onto the Rack Rails

Installing the Chassis into a Rack

1.  Align the chassis rails with the front of the rack rails.

2.  Slide the chassis rails into the rack rails, keeping the pressure even on both 

sides. The spring latch engages when the chassis is part way in. Push the server 
completely into the rack. 

3.  (

) Insert and tighten the thumbscrews that hold the front of the server 

to the rack.

Note:

 The  figure  above  is  for  illustrative  purposes  only. Always  install  servers  at 

the bottom of the rack first.

Warning

: Do not pick up the server with the front handles. They are designed 

to pull the system from a rack only.
