Always follow basic safety guidelines when using electrical equipment. In order to
avoid the risk of burns, electrical shocks, fires and/or bodily injury, please read these
instructions for use carefully before setting up and using this appliance. When using
the appliance, please follow all of the instructions.
Keep these instructions for use in a safe place for future reference.
If you pass this appliance on to a third person, please also pass on these instructions
for use.

• Only plug the appliance into a properly installed plug socket. Do not use a multiple socket outlet or
an extension cable.
• The voltage stated on the specification plate of the appliance must match the voltage of your mains
supply.
• When positioning the power cable, please ensure that this cannot pose a tripping hazard while the
appliance is in use.
• When using the appliance, please ensure that the fan itself cannot pose a tripping hazard.
• Keep the power cable away from hot surfaces, open flames and sharp edges. When using the
appliance, please ensure that the cable does not get trapped (e.g. in doors).
• Never touch the appliance, power cable or plug with wet or damp hands.
• Never submerge the appliance, power cable or plug in water or other liquids. Danger of
electrocution and death!
• When unplugging the appliance, always grip the plug and not the power cable.
• The appliance is only suitable for use in living space. Do not use the appliance in damp locations or
outside.
• Do not use the appliance near sources of heat or an open fire.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while in operation or while connected to a power source.
• Do not prop the device on people or animals. Risk of injury!
• Be careful during operation to ensure no hair, loose clothing or body part comes in the vicinity of
the rotor blades or other moving parts.
• Do not use the appliance in a location where there is an open fire (e.g. fireplace), unprotected
flames (e.g. candles), flammable gases, fluids or dust. Danger of ignition and fire.
• Never use the device near curtains or other flimsy / hanging materials.
• The device is only designed for use indoors. Do not use the device in moist areas or outside.
• Do not insert any objects or parts of the body into the openings! Be careful to ensure that the safety
guard does not become blocked by objects or contamination. Blocked openings can cause the
motor to overheat and thus become damaged.
• When carrying the appliance, never use the power cable.
• Do not use the appliance on uneven surfaces, and ensure that the appliance cannot topple over
while in use (e.g. on steps).
• Before cleaning the appliance, always switch it off and remove the plug from the plug socket.
