• PPPoE:
PPPOE stands for Point-to-Point Protocol over
Ethernet. Obtain ADSL service from ISP. Obtain
and install PPPoE software. Choose “PPPOE”
and enter the “User Name”, “Password” from your
ISP (Internet Service Provider) and “Web Port”.
Select “Network DDNS to set DDNS settings
(see
DDNS” on page 37 for details). When all the
settings are completed, press “APPLY”.
• DHCP:
Choose “DHCP” IP type. Then, select “Network”

You will need to apply for a DDNS account before setting PPPoE or DHCP connection. DDNS is a service for
transforming the dynamic IP to a specifi c “Hostname”. Go to a website that will provide free DDNS services and apply for
• Enable DDNS:
a. DDNS: “Enable”.
b. User Name: Type your DDNS account.
c. Password: Type your DDNS password.
d. Domain: Type the “Host Name” you applied for previously (EX: securityanytime.dyndns.org).
e. System Name: Choose the DDNS server where you applied for the domain name (EX: dyndns).
f. Auto: If you select “DHCP” option in “Network” menu.
g. You can check the “AUTO” option to automatically assign the IP address.
(2) Mail
When alarm-trigger is triggered an e-mail notifi cation will send an e-mail notifi cation to the specifi ed recipients once.
Enable the e-mail notifi cation in the “Alarm” menu.
Note: Users can assign up to 4 mail accounts for E-mail notifi cation.
• Mail Notifi cation:
a. Add the recipients’ E-mail accounts in “Mail Account” column.
Type the entire E-mail address in the “Mail from” column to ensure E-mails will not be blocked by SMTP.
For detailed information (SMTP server, username and password), please check with your E-mail service supplier.
b. Some mail servers are required to verify the password. Please enter the “user name” and “password”.
c. After setting, press “APPLY” to confi rm.
(3) FTP
When the aIarm-trigger is triggered the FTP notifi cation is activated, and will upload the captured images to the specifi ed
FTP site. Enable FTP notifi cation in the “Alarm” menu.
• FTP Notifi cation:
a. Enter the detailed FTP information.
b. After setting, press “APPLY” to confi rm.
