STEERING RODS

1. Use an 8.0mm hex key and a
17mm spanner, to release the steer-
ing rod outer stud.

2. It is only possible to remove the
lock nut not the stud.

3. Lift the steering rod up, until the stud
is clear of the stub axle.

4. The second nut is permanently
attached to the stud and acts as a
spacer.

5. The other end of the steering rod is
connected to the Steering Head.

6. Use an 8.0mm hex key and a
17mm spanner, to release the steer-
ing rod inner stud in exactly the same
way.
