V480 Server was designed as a general purpose workgroup server capable of meeting the needs of a wide
range of industry applications, users and environments.
This two or four-way multiprocessor, combined with a 9.6
GB/sec. interconnect and 32GB of memory capability, insures scalability for compute-intensive applications. The
integrated, Fibre Channel disk subsystem, two integrated 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet ports and six available PCI slots
provide 1.2 GB/sec. of I/O throughput that can satisfy I/O demanding applications such as EDA and web serving.
