2. When the desired temperature comfort level is
reached, lower the thermostat setting until the fan/
heater stops operating. This is done by moving the
Thermostat Control counter-clockwise toward the LOW
setting.
3. The control will now automatically maintain the
pre-set temperature level by turning the heater ON
and OFF.
NOTE:
It is normal for the heater to cycle ON and OFF as
it maintains the preset temperature. To prevent the unit
from cycling, you need to change the thermostat setting.
CAUTION:
FRONT GRILL IS HOT WHEN UNIT IS IN

ViziHeat

Color Changing Display
Your heater features the revolutionary technology and
safety of ViziHeat
TM
Color Changing Display. As your
heater warms up, the front grill will change color – a
visual reminder that the grill is warm and the heater is on
(see Figure 2). The exact timing of the color change may
vary. When the heater is turned off, the grill will return
to its original color, thus indicating the grill is cool to the
touch.
NOTE:
If left in extreme cold temperatures
(-22° F/-30°C) the ViziHeat
TM
Color Changing Display
may not perform. The heater itself will function normally.
Store heater in a cool and dry location.
NOTE:
The ViziHeat
TM
Color Changing Effect may wear off
after heavy use of this heater. The heater will continue to
operate normally.
CLEANING/MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the heater before cleaning and allow the
heater to cool down.
1. Clean the unit with a soft cloth moistened with a mild
soap and water solution.
2. NEVER use abrasive or flammable solvents to clean
the unit.
3. After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the unit
with a cloth or towel.
4. Store heater in a cool, dry location.
5. It is recommended that you store the unit in its
original carton.
AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF
This heater is equipped with a patented,
technologically-advanced, ceramic controlled safety
system that requires the user to reset the heater if there
is a potential overheat situation. When a potential
overheat temperature is reached, the system will
automatically shut the heater off. It can only resume
operation when the user resets the unit.
RESET INSTRUCTIONS
If your heater shuts down:
1) Turn Control to OFF.
2) Unplug the unit and wait 30 minutes.
3) Plug in and operate normally.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If your heater fails to operate:
• The temperature may be set too low. Turn the
Thermostat Control clockwise until the heater restarts.
• Make sure Mode Control is in LO (1) or HI (2)
setting.
• Turn the heater OFF and UNPLUG THE HEATER.
• Make sure the electrical outlet or circuit breaker is
working.
• Check for obstructions. If you find an obstruction
turn the heater OFF, and unplug the unit. Carefully
remove the obstruction and follow the reset
instructions.
Please DO NOT attempt to open or repair the
heater.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Carefully remove your heater from the box. Please
save the carton for off-season storage.
2. Make sure the unit is in the OFF ( I/

before plugging the heater into the outlet.
3. Place heater on a firm, level surface. At 1500 watts,
this unit draws 12.5 Amps.
Mode Control
Turn the Mode Control to the desired setting:
I/

- Off Mode
If you want to shut off the heater at any time during
operation, turn the Mode Control to Off ( I/
o
) position.
Power Light will remain lit until the heater is turned off.
- Fan only Setting
Heater will run at fan-only operation without heat output.
1 - LOW Heat
The heater will run continuously at 1000W.
2 - HIGH Heat
The heater will run continuously at 1500W.
NOTE:
To start heater operation, make sure the
Thermostat Control is turned clockwise to the highest
position.
Thermostat Control
1. Before setting the thermostat, allow heater to operate
and warm up the room. As noted above, you need to
set thermostat to the highest setting by turning
clockwise to start the heater.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not
let bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use
handles when moving this heater. Keep combustible
materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers,
clothes, and curtains at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the
front of the heater and keep them away from the
sides and rear.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is
used by or near children or invalids and whenever
the heater is left operating and unattended.
4. Always unplug heater when not in use.
5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or
plug or after the heater malfunctions, has been
dropped or damaged in any manner. Discard heater,
or return to authorized service facility for
examination and/or repair.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms,
laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never
locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or
other water container.
8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord
with throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not
route cord under furniture or appliances. Arrange
cord away from traffic area and where it will not be
tripped over.
9. To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then
remove plug from outlet.
10. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any
ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an
electric shock or fire, or damage the heater.
11. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or
exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces,
like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
12. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside.
Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or
flammable liquids are used or stored.
13. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any
other use not recommended by the manufacturer
may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
14. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/
receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or
relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
15. When unplugging, be sure to pull by the plug and
not the cord.
16. If the heater will not operate, see specific instructions
on Auto Safety Shut-off.
17. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or
mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void
your warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user
serviceable parts. All servicing should be performed
by qualified personnel only.
18. Discontinue use if plug or outlet is hot. It is
recommended that the outlet be replaced if plug or
outlet is hot to touch.
19. The heater must not be located immediately below a
socket-outlet. Do not use this heater in the
immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a
swimming pool.

tráfico y donde no se tropiece con él.
9. Para desconectarlo, gire el control a la posición OFF,
luego quite el enchufe del tomacorriente.
10. No inserte ni permita que objetos extraños penetren

causar un choque eléctrico o incendio, o dañar el
calentador.
11. Para evitar un posible incendio, no bloquee las

tomacorriente de pared. Nunca lo use con un cable

16. Si el calentador no funciona, vea las instrucciones

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO

Control de modo

funcionamiento, gire el Mode Control (Control de modo) hasta

encendida hasta que el calentador se haya apagado.
- Configuración Sólo ventilador
El calentador funcionará en la configuración Sólo
ventilador sin emitir calor.
1 - Calor Bajo
El calentador funcionará continuamente a 1000W.
2 - Calor Alto
El calentador funcionará continuamente a 1500W.
NOTA:
Para que el calentador funcione, asegúrese de
girar el Control del termostato en el sentido de las agujas
del reloj hasta llegar a la posición más alta.
Control de termostato
1. Antes de configurar el termostato, permita que el
calentador caliente la habitación. Como se indicó
anteriormente, para encender el calentador, debe
girar el control del termostato en el sentido de las
agujas del reloj hasta alcanzar el nivel más alto.
2. Al alcanzar la temperatura deseada, disminuya el
ajuste del termostato hasta que el ventilador/
calentador deje de funcionar. Esto se hace moviendo el
control del termostato en sentido contrario al de las
agujas del reloj hasta el ajuste Low que es el menor.

SI SU CALENTADOR NO FUNCIONA
3. El control mantendrá automáticamente el nivel de
temperatura ajustado encendiendo y apagando el
calentador.
NOTA:
Es normal que el calentador se encienda y
apague intermitentemente mientras mantiene la
temperatura seleccionada. Para evitar que la unidad
se encienda y apague, debe aumentar el ajuste del
termostato.
PRECAUCIÓN:
LA REJILLA FRONTAL SE CALIENTA
CUANDO LA UNIDAD ESTÁ EN FUNCIONAMIENTO.

YEl calentador presenta la seguridad y tecnología
revolucionarias de la pantalla que cambia de color
ViziHeat

. A medida que el calentador se caliente, partes
de la rejilla delantera cambiarán de color, lo que es un
aviso visual de que la rejilla está caliente y el calentador
está encendido (Ver Figura 2). El momento exacto del
cambio de color puede variar. Cuando el calentador esté
apagado, la rejilla volverá a su color original, lo que
indica que ya está fría y se puede tocar.
NOTA:
Si se deja en temperaturas extremadamente frías
(-22° F/-30°C), es posible que la pantalla que cambia
de color ViziHeat
TM
no funcione. El calentador funcionará
normalmente. Guarde el calentador en un lugar fresco y
seco.
NOTA:

LIMPIEZA / MANTENIMIENTO

1. Limpie la unidad con un paño suave humedecido en
una solución suave de agua y jabón.
2. NUNCA utilice solventes abrasivos o inflamables para
limpiar la unidad.
3. Luego de limpiarla, asegúrese de secar
completamente la unidad con un trapo o toalla.
4. Guarde el calentador en un lugar fresco y seco.
5. Se recomienda guardar la unidad en su embalaje
original.
APAGADO AUTOMATICO DE SEGURIDAD
Este calentador está equipado con un sistema de
seguridad patentado, de tecnología avanzada que
requiere que el usuario reinicie el calentador en caso de
un sobrecalentamiento potencial. Si la unidad se
recalienta, el sistema la apagará automáticamente y sólo
podrá volver a funcionar si el usuario la reactiva
manualmente. Volverá a funcionar únicamente luego de
que el usuario reinicie la unidad.
INSTRUCCIONES VOLVER A ENCENDER
Si la unidad se apaga:
1) GIRE el Control a APAGADO.
2) Desenchufe la unidad y espere 30 minutos.
3) Enchufela y vuélvala a operar normalmente.
SI SU CALENTADOR NO FUNCIONA
Para volver a prender el calentador:
• El termostato puede estar ajustado demasiado bajo.
Gire la perilla del termostato en sentido de las agujas
del reloj hasta que comience a calentar nuevamente.
• Asegúrese que el control de mando esté en la
posición LO (1) o HI (2).
• APAGUE el calentador y DESENCHÚFELO.
• Asegúrese de que el tomacorriente o llave térmica
funcionen correctamente.
• Verifique que no haya ninguna obstrucción. Si
encuentra una obstrucción, apague el calentador, y
desenchúfelo. Quite cuidadosamente la obstrucción y
siga el procedimiento para reiniciar la unidad.
NO intente abrir o reparar el calentador.
