Before proceeding, perform the following task.

As superuser, check for the adapter packages by using the
pkginfo
command:

If you see lines containing SUNWhmdl and SUNWhmdlu and lines
containing SUNWhmd and SUNWhmdu, then do not remove any of these
packages from your system.
