7. Using the
test
command and the device path found in Step 6, start the adapter’s
FCode self-test.
Refer to the OpenBoot Command Reference Manual for more information on the
test
command.
If all of the tests pass, you will see these messages:
If the adapter fails a test, you will see an error message (in this example, the Register
test failed):
Note – If the
test
command fails, verify that the adapter hardware is installed
correctly. If necessary, replace the adapter or contact your service provider for
support.
8. After testing the adapter, type the following commands to return the OpenBoot
PROM to the standard operating mode.
