9.6.2

Replacing the Diskette Data Cable

1. Route the new diskette data cable through the opening in the diskette drive

mounting bracket.

See

FIGURE 9-13

2. Connect the diskette data cable to its connector on the system board.

See Section 9.3.2 “Replacing the Diskette Drive.”

3. Install the diskette drive.

Start at Step 1 on page 12 in Section 9.3.2 “Replacing the Diskette Drive.”

4. Connect the two-wire power and the new diskette cable to the rear of the diskette

drive.

5. Install the CD-ROM drive (if necessary).

See Section 9.2.2 “Replacing the CD-ROM Drive.”
