1.
With the climbing aid properly attached to the tree, attach
your Lineman’s Belt to your FBFAHS following your FBFAHS
instructions. Climb up the ladder sections until you reach the
top tie off point (just above eye level). Carefully untie the knot
and allow the rope to hang down freely.
NOTE: One or more able adults should be holding the base
of the ladder section to prevent movement in the ladder
while removing.
2.
Using your Lineman’s Belt, carefully descend down the
tree to the next tie-off location. Carefully untie the knot and
carefully move down the ladder sections until all sections have
been unsecured.
3.
When safely back on the ground, you and one other able
adult can then carefully and slowly lower the sections down to
the ground. Ensure no one is in the path of the ladder sections
being lowered. Prevent the climbing sticks from slamming
against the ground which could cause damage to the columns
of the climbing sections.
REMOVAL
Inspect ALL sticks prior to each use for undue wear, deformity, corrosion, or other damage and all straps, webbing, and
ropes for fraying, rips, tears, cuts, undue wear or any other type of damage. Discontinue use IMMEDIATELY if any of this
damage is present.
