OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
W AR N IN G ! D o not operate furnace w hile vehicle is in m otion or being tow ed.
N O T E : D uring initial firing of this furnace a burn-off of excess paint and oils rem aining
from m anufacturing process m ay cause “sm ok ing” for 5 - 10 m inutes.

T his appliance does not have a pilot. It is equippe d w ith a n ignition device
which autom atically lights the burner. D o

light the burner by hand.

B E FO R E O P E R A T IN G sm ell all aro u n d th e appliance area for gas. B e sure
to sm ell next to th e floor because som e gas is heavier than air and will settle
on the floor.

E xtinguish any open flam e.
• Evacuate all persons from the vehicle.
• Shut off the gas supply at the gas container or source.
• D o not touch any electric switch or use any phone or radio in the vehicle.
• D o not start the vehicle’s engine or electric generator.
• C ontact the nearest gas supplier or qualified service technician for repairs.
• If you cannot reach a gas supplier or qualified service technician, contact the
nearest fire departm ent.
• D o not turn on the gas supply until the gas leak(s) has been repaired.

U se only your ha n d to p u sh in or turn the gas control kno b. N ever use tools.
If the knob will not push in or turn by hand, don’t try to repair it, call a qualified
service technician. Force or attem pted repair m ay result in a fire or explosion.

D o n o t u se this appliance if any part has been under w ater. Im m ediately call
a qualified service technician to inspect the appliance and to replace any part
of the control system and any gas control w hich has been under water.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. S TO P !
R ead U ser’s Inform ation M anual supplied with furnace.
2.
T urn the m anual valve (if so equipped) or the valve at the outside LP tank to
the “O FF” position. D o not force.
3.
S et therm ostat abov e room tem perature to begin blower operation. A slight
delay will occur before the blower com es on. A llow blower to run for 5 m inutes
for com bustion cham ber pu rge cycle. If blower does not com e on or stops
before ignition cycle, go to shut down and contact your dealer o r a local
recreational vehicle service agency.

A fter 5 m inutes, m ove therm ostat lever below room tem perature. B low er w ill
rem ain on. W ait approxim ately 2 m inutes for blow er to go off.

O pen m anual shut-off valve (if so equipped) or the valve at the outside LP
tank. C orrect operating characteristics depend on the valve being positioned
fully open. Never attem pt to operate with a valve partially closed.
N O T E : T his fu rn a c e is equipped with a valve shut-off sw itch. W ith sw itch in
“O FF” position, gas will not flow to burner nor will the furnace operate.
6.
S e t therm ostat to desired se tting. N O T E : M otor w ill no t co m e on insta n tly.
A llow approxim ately 30 seconds for m otor operation gas flow and spark s.
7.
A llow 30 seconds for m ain burner to light after blow er com es on. T his furnace
is equipped with an ignition device which autom atically lights the burner. D o not
try to light the burner by hand.
8.
If burner does not light, repeat Steps 1 through 8.
9.
If after three (3) attem pts with no ignition, go to shut do w n an d contact your
dealer or a local recreational vehicle service agency. D o not continue to cycle
furnace through therm o s ta t in an attem pt to get ignition. N O T E : If furnace
should lock out, the blow er w ill go off in 5 m inutes and rem ain off until unit is
reset by reactivating therm ostat.
TO TURN OFF GAS TO APPLIANCE
1.
S et the therm ostat to lowest setting, then m ove lever to "O FF" position.
2.
T urn off all electric power to the appliance if service is to be perform ed.
3.
T urn m anual valve (if so equipped) to the “O FF” position. D o not force.
