CD Changer Detailed Installation Instruction
1.
Engage emergency brake.
2.
Open center console lid.
3.
Remove trim caps using non-marring flat tool and remove screws using Phillips screwdriver.
4.
Lift console trim piece.
5.
Disengage harnesses connected to console trim piece.
6.
Place automatic shifter into "1" position (if manual vehicle place in neutral and un-screw and remove
shift knob) and remove shifter trim
7.
Disconnect negative battery terminal using a 10-mm tool.
8.
Pull and remove "coin/ash tray".
9.
Remove radio trim by grasping and pulling outward as indicated.

Push lock on connector and remove harness.
11.
Push lock on connector and remove harness.
12.
Push lock on connector and remove harness.
13.
Unscrew four (4) Phillips screws as indicated. Do not discard, they will be re-used. Pull out the radio
chassis.

Disconnect antenna cable.
16.
Push lock on connector and disconnect the 14 Pin power harness.
17.
Push lock on connector and disconnect ground cable.
18.
Remove three screws from one side and one screw from the other side of the radio chassis as shown
using a Phillips screwdriver. The two (2) self-tapping screws are discarded. The two (2) machined
screws are reused.
19.
Install the CD Changer to the mounting brackets using the four (4) screws provided. Reinstall the
radio to the bracket using the two (2) existing screws.
20.
Install the 16 Pin CD changer connector to the back of the radio. Be sure all connectors are properly
oriented and secure upon re-installation.
21.
Reinstall Antenna cable.
22.
Reinstall the 14 Pin power harness.
23.
Reinstall the ground cable.
24.
Reinstall the radio chassis into the dash and fasten using four (4) previously removed Phillips screws.
25.
Reinstall connector.
26.
Reinstall connector.
27.
Reinstall connector.
28.
Reinstall radio trim by pushing firmly into place.
29.
Reinstall "coin/ash tray".
30.
Reinstall shifter trim as shown, push down on trim until firmly seated.
31.
Place shifter in "P" position. (manual vehicles re-install the shift knob)
32.
Locate harnesses.
33.
Attach harnesses to console trim.
34.
Reinstall console trim to center console.
35.
Reinstall two (2) screws and two (2) trim caps.
36.
Close center console lid.
37.
Reconnect negative battery cable to negative battery post.
