When the system is malfunctioning (front passenger’s front airbag
manual cut off switch in ON position)

: Vehicles without a keyless access with push button start system: If a

malfunction occurs when the engine switch is in the “ON” position, the
front passenger airbag will remain active until the engine switch is
turned to a position other than “ON”. If the engine switch is turned to
“ON” again and the malfunction remains, the front passenger airbag will
be deactivated and “OFF” on the ON-OFF indicator will be illuminated.

Vehicles with a keyless access with push button start system: If a mal-
function occurs when the push-button ignition switch is in “ON” mode,
the front passenger airbag will remain active until the push-button igni-
tion switch is changed to a mode other than “ON”. If the push-button
ignition switch is turned to “ON” mode again and the malfunction
remains, the front passenger airbag will be deactivated and “OFF” on
the ON-OFF indicator will be illuminated.
