Gain and Operating Levels
From the User Guide:
SOUND LEVEL SETTING:
Set the VU meter to cue and the select the channel to be set via the CUE SELECT switch. Set the GAIN in such
a way that the level on the VU-meter display about 0dB. Set the tone control as required. If necessary adjust the
GAIN again so that the VU-meter display once again about the 0dB.
MASTER SETTING
:
The MASTER control is setting the total output level of both channels and the microphone to the amplifier. If
you want to monitor the output level to the amplifier on LED VU-meter, set the selector switch to MASTER. the
RCA connectors for the connection to the amplifier are located at the rear panel. They are identified as
MASTER. Next to the MASTER output is another stereo RCA connector marked REC for connection of the
output signal to a cassette or tape recorder.
HEADPHONE SECTION:
The head phone section is fitted with 6.3 mm stereo jack that is located on top and on front panel of the unit
chooses the socket which is more convenient.” ONLY CONNECT ONE HEADPHONE” the CUE SELECT
switch allows to choose if you wish to listen to channel 1 or 2 or both via the headphone. The CUE LEVEL
control sets the output level to the headphones. The SPLI/NORM control determines the LEFT/RIGHT split of
the master volume and the CUE volume. EXAMPLE: if the switch is completely set to the left. The master and
the CUE volume are both audible at the same time is set to the right, only the CUE signals is audible.
A final note
…….. The human ear is a remarkable organ with the ability to compress or ‘shut down’ when
sound levels become too high. Do not interpret this natural response as a reason to turn the system volume up
further! As the session wears on ear fatigue may set in, and the speaker cones may become
Hot so reducing the effectiveness of the system and listeners to gain nay benefit from increased volume.
