5. Additional functions and modifications in software version V02.22
5.1 Password handling
New: up to 6 incorrect password entries are allowed, after which a 3 minute pause must
be observed.
New: password entry is displayed in clear text, with correction option (delete line:
7).
(When EXICALL is reset to the factory default settings, the 3 minute pause is set to zero.
Resetting the opened unit must only be done at the factory. If EXICALL is opened by the
customer, all rights to claim under the guarantee become null and void).
5.2 Disable incoming call
New: where an EXICALL is connected in parallel with a second telephone, it is now possible
to reply no to the question Answer in programming item no. 214. EXICALL now waits for
250 rings before answering an incoming call. It is improbable that anyone would wait for so
long. In addition, the ringer volume can now be set to 1 = off in programming item no. 282.
Attention: If incoming calls are disabled using the method described above, remote
programming of EXICALL is no longer possible.
6. Remote Control Option
6.1 Remote control operation
Remote control by the called party is possible by issuing the following commands during a
call (only possible from a touch tone dial telephone):

6.2 Conditions for issuing remote control commands
0 to
9
6.21 Commands
0 to
9
Pauses between key-presses (e.g. between
and 0) must be no longer than 3 seconds.
The same applies to password entry.
6.22 Commands
0 and
1
These commands may be issued without a password, i.e. even if a password is entered, it is
not checked. Command
1 may immediately follow commands
6 to
8.
6.23 Commands
2 to
9
These commands require a password, assuming one has been programmed (this is identical
to the programming password, menu item 111). If a new command is entered before the end
of the impulse (contact K3 closure time), the impulse is re-started, i.e. it is not extended by
the corresponding period.
