Tape Echo
TAPE HEAD
Changes the selected Tape
Machine / Head configuration.
MODE
Changes the operation of El Capistan
depending on the TAPE HEAD setting
(see full user manual for details).
MIX
Controls the balance of dry signal and
wet signal from 100% dry at minimum
to 100% wet at maximum. Set to 3
o’clock for 50/50 dry/wet mix.
WOW & FLUTTER
Controls the amount of mechanically
related tape speed fluctuations.
BYPASS
Engages and disengages effect. LED
ON indicates the effect is engaged.
TIME
Controls the delay time
according to the selected TAPE
HEAD type.
TAPE AGE
Controls the bandwidth of the
tape just as it would change over
time in a traditional tape delay
machine.
TAP
Tap quarter notes to set the
delay time. The TAP LED will
flash to indicate the tempo.
Holding the TAP footswitch will
result in infinite repeats.
REPEATS
Varies the number of repeats from
one to saturated oscillation.
