Lay two headboard facias marked Black
PART 9 ( 4G) position these as shown in
PIC 1. Lay the long inserts (PART 12) in
between these ready to join.

Place dowel rods in all the headboard inserts as
described, DO NOT PUSH ALL THE WAY IN.
Now locate the PART 9 facias and push in to create
the headboard. The dowels will straighten as they
align.
Now repeat this until you have made four
headboard inserts
First Build the Four Head Board Inserts
NOTE** Locating the Dowel Rods
To keep the bed from rattling all the dowel holes have been
slightly mis-drilled by a couple of mm. When you push parts
together the dowels will straighten and pull together to
ensure a tight fit. Whenever you locate a dowel on the hole
NEVER push it all the way in, leave it so it is loose and can
be aligned with the second locating hole.

Now we connect the facia inserts to create the headboards.
You will find four corner posts, two marked CL-left, two marked
CR-right. Separate into two piles, one left and one right.
Get one left (L) and one right (R) and lay as so face down on the
carpet as shown above.
This indicates the top of each post and the row
of holes that accepts the side/ guard rails.
You need two facia inserts, one at the top, one at the bottom. Push
dowels SLIGHTLY into the ends of the headboard facias. Locate
over the corresponding holes in the corner posts. Push in, the dowels
will be at an angle but will straighten as they locate. Complete one
side at a time. Repeat process for the second headboard. You know
have two complete headboards ready to attach the side rails.

You will note a white chalk mark on each
post, very important.
