- Do not operate the measuring tool in explosive environments, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dusts. Sparks can be created in the measuring tool which may ignite the dust or fume
- The device may interfere with sensitive devices such as pacemakers, earphones, etc. Therefore, do not
use the device near medical devices, on aircrafts or in the vicinity of petrol stations or other places with a
risk of fire or explosion.
- Only use batteries recommended by the manufacturer to power the device.
- Protect the measuring tool against moisture and direct sun light.
- Do not subject the measuring tool to extreme temperatures or variations in temperature. As an example,
do not leave it in vehicles for a long time. In case of large variations in temperature, allow the measuring
tool to adjust to the ambient temperature before putting it into operation. In case of extreme
temperatures or variations in temperature, the accuracy of the measuring tool can be impaired.
- Avoid heavy impact or falling of the measuring tool.
- Switch the measuring tool off during transport. When switching off, the leveling unit is locked. Else it can
be damaged in case of intense movement.
OPERATION
INSERTING THE BATTERIES
- Open the battery cover.
- Insert 2 new AA batteries of the same brand
according to the polarity diagram shown on the
inside of the battery compartment.
- Close the battery cover.
WARNINGS:
1. Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.
2. Do not mix new and old batteries. Use only alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries.
3. If the device is not used for a long time, remove the batteries.
4. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire.
5. Do not dispose of damaged or discharged batteries in normal waste, but take care of the environment
and return them to battery recycling places.
6. Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
WORKING IN AUTOMATIC MODE
- Place the measuring instrument on a horizontal and solid surface or mount it on a tripod.
- Turn on the measuring instrument by sliding the switch (3) to the "ON" position.
- Immediately after switching on, the measuring instrument emits laser beams from the outlet openings.
- The automatic leveling compensates for unevenness in the range of self-
leveling ± 4 ° automatically. The
leveling is completed when the laser beams stop moving.
- To move or turn off the meter, slide the switch (3) to the "OFF" position. The swing unit locks.
WORKING IN MANUAL MODE
- Turn on the measuring instrument by sliding the switch (3) to the position
.
- Immediately after switching on, the measuring instrument emits laser beams from the outlet openings.
- When the leveling device is switched off, you can take the measuring instrument freely in your hands or
place it on an inclined surface.
