Connection may be through the Internet or a modem, depending on the console server
model.

Table 2-1

summarizes how the RSN console servers connect to the RSN.

You must install the RSN console server (and modem, if
present) on a flat surface, such as a table or rack space.
Do not place these components on top of a system
cabinet.
