CONGRATULATIONS on your purchase of the Strainrite PETSTOP DIY Electric Fence Kit.

The PETSTOP Kit is the perfect solution to keep your pets away from flower beds or refuse areas.

Inside this box is a complete low-power DIY electrified fence kit which, once installed, delivers a harmless electric shock that

is safe for children, animals and adults but is usually well remembered.

You can also install the system on top of a fence line or a wall to keep pets inside or out or cordon off fruit trees to fend of

possums.

STEP 1

CHARGE YOUR BATTERY

Connect the Solar Panel to the Battery only. Place in direct sun for a day or 8 hours. This will ensure the battery is fully

charged when the energizer load is attached.

STEP 2

PLAN YOUR FENCE LOCATION

Use a tape measure to map out the area requiring the electric fence and position of the fibre glass rods.

How many wires are you running? The solar power unit needs to be placed in a position to get as much sunlight as

possible generally north facing unobstructed by shade. Consider the location of the energizer. Does it need to be

protected inside the fence or is sitting outside the fence installation suitable. Mark position.

STEP 3

FIBRE GLASS ROD ASSEMBLY

Attach the spring clips to one of the fibre glass rods using safety gloves. With the over run end facing down squeeze

the spring clip and slide over the rod. Use as a template to mark out the location on the remaining posts.

STEP 4

INSTALL POSTS

Install the posts into soft ground using a block of wood or rubber mallet. Try not to damage the posts and use safety

gloves when handling.

STEP 5

RUN POLYWIRE

Tie off the Polywire on the bottom end of one post, feed the wire across or around the bottom row feeding through the

spring clip eyelet that has an over run end. In one continuous length feed the polywire up to the next run and repeat

until you are at the top. On the top row of the last post, tie off and leave plenty of cord to reach the energizer.

Mount the warning sign.

STEP 6

ASSEMBLE THE ENERGIZER

Attach the Solar Panel to the Mounting System using the 2 screws provided Install the Earth Stake into the ground and

remove the top nut and washer. Place the mount over the Earth Stake and drop the Earth Cable over the end of the

stake feeding out to the right side of the frame and secure with washer and nut.

Push the black and red insulated

cables through the hole to the front of the mount and connect to the energizer plugs colour coded on the under side.

Attach the earth cable to the green terminal and wrap the polywire around the red terminal.

STEP 7

OPERATING THE ENERGIZER

WARNING: The following steps will activate the electric fence

Place the battery in the carriage in the back of the mount. Connect the Black (-) battery lead to the black (-) clip

Connect the Red (+) battery lead to the Red (+) clip. The energizer will begin pulsing every 1.5 seconds
